Snapping Turtle Kids Brings Style Beachside

Scooter found out about mom-designer Kimberly Goodwin and her two-year old children’s fashion line, Snapping Turtle Kids, through a friend. Ms. Goodwin, who developed the idea for her brand while preparing for a beach day in Nantucket with her daughter Reese, saw the need for a chic, fuss-free bathing suit that snapped on.

Today, Snapping Turtle Kids offers an adorable array of kids’ swimwear (and accessories) equipped with stainless steel snaps for quick changes. Ms. Goodwin’s savvy comes as little surprise; she honed her fashion sense and skills when she held production and merchandising posts at Lucky magazine and Vogue.

All Snapping Turtle Kids whimsical designs are made in New York City’s Garment District and are inspired by ocean-side, jet set destinations. We love the vibrant Capri Swimwear Collection ($60-78), which evokes sunset in the Italian Riviera and is sure to keep your little one molto elegante.
