Every Saturday from 10am to noon, the Children’s Museum of the East End hosts “LEGO Club at CMEE" where kids can play with the thousands of  legos in its collection.

An appropriate weekend activity for a museum whose slogan is "where learning begins with play." We're on the same page with Steve Klusmeyer in that there is much to be learned from LEGOs. In an article titled “Lego Lessons for Life,” he noted: “All LEGO men are created equal (1.5625 inches tall). What they become is limited only by imagination.”

Long live LEGOs indeed. We quote Albert Einstein: “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”

Alternatively, if you’re looking to clear out a few legos from the attic, CMEE also accepts donations.
